Kindergarten

We believe children actively construct their understanding of the world through continuous interactions with their environment. Young children learn best when given ample opportunities to explore, practice, apply, and extend upon the concepts presented in the classroom. They are eager to discover ideas, find patterns, forge relationships, and form generalizations. Through spontaneous activity, smart play, carefully prepared materials, and guided experience, the kids in our kindergarten program develop reliable experiences, expectations, emotions, attitudes, and abilities.

We believe in giving each child special focus, because their individual characteristics deserve to be accepted, understood, and nurtured. That is why our kindergarten environment provides safe opportunities for experimentation, exploration, discovery, challenge, and interaction.

The Aim

  • Kindergarten is the first opportunity children get to understand that school is a place for learning and socializing. In our KG classes, your kids will learn about sharing, taking turns, respecting others’ rights, and taking care of themselves so they can make their parents’ lives easier.
  • The kindergarten program at Rudrappasamy School provides essential learning in language development, number concepts, creative skills, and social and physical growth.
  • Students are also introduced to basic reading through shared oration, rhymes, poems, classic stories, and stories created by other children.
  • Technology is introduced as a virtual learning tool. Skills related to visual and auditory discernment, left to right orientation, vocabulary development, whole-word recognition, and relationships between letters and sounds are all included in our KG curriculum.

The Classroom

  • The kindergarten classroom can accommodate different groups of kids. Each room is designed in such a way as to encourage children to move freely, plan activities, and work independently.
  • An atmosphere of understanding and compassion surrounds our kindergarten children who are embarking on a vital school experience. Our classrooms promise to:
    • Promote positive self-esteem
    • Help acquire and maintain important skills
    • Develop a good attitude necessary for personal success.
  • Your child’s kindergarten year is meant to develop independent and confident learners who realize the excitement and challenge of learning in a school experience for years to come.

Teacher-Child Interactions

  • All our kindergarten teachers come qualified to offer emotional support to kindergarten students. This is in addition to their ability to establish a solid foundation on which your kids will develop the motivation and cognitive skills needed for long-term academic success.
  • It is known that positive teacher-child relationships foster social development. A child’s social adjustment proof includes self-control, emotional regulation, getting along with peers and enjoying attending school.

Daily Lessons

  • In our classroom, best practices are routinely followed and implemented in the daily schedule for the entire kindergarten group to benefit.
  • The following are all made available to each group; based on their size:
    • Activities, group workshops, and independent work centres

The CCE or “Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation” system is a school-based evaluation of students which covers all aspects of their development. Continuous implies regular assessments, improved frequency of unit testing, analysis of learning gaps, applying corrective measures, re-testing and giving feedback to teachers and students for further self-evaluation, and so on. Comprehensive implies attempts to cover both scholastic and co-scholastic aspects of a student’s growth and development. Both those aspects of the evaluation process are assessed through Formative and Summative Assessments.

We follow a personalized approach for each student, helping prepare your child to cope with the complex demands of an ever-changing world. Our tutelage will guide and ensure mastery in learning. Secondary-grades 6th to 10th

Our curriculum is crafted around the principles of play-based learning and hands-on experiences. We believe that your child’s active participation in learning activities can and will enrich their educational journey while also fostering a deep understanding of various subjects.

The traditional approach to teaching higher education is often centred on the transmission of knowledge from instructor to student. This approach places a heavy emphasis on long lectures, complex textbooks, rote memorization, and tricky exams. As a result, there whole affair can become passive and disengaging for students.

We instead rely on creative and innovative teaching by using methods that proactively introduce new learning strategies in the classroom. The purpose of introducing such techniques is to improve academic outcomes, provide real-world solutions, and promote equitable learning for every child.

No two students are the same, so we don’t like putting them all in the same box and demanding they find some way to excel. With our 1st and 2nd Grade curriculums, we hope to establish a strong and immersive love for learning in your child. This is how we ensure they grow into responsible adults who keep excelling in their academic pursuits.

Socio-Emotional Health:

  • We prioritize the emotional well-being of all our students. Through our teaching methods, we promote socio-emotional health, which helps them to navigate their emotions effectively and develop strong interpersonal skills as a result.

Experiential & Inquiry-Based Learning:

  • We encourage students to question, explore, and discover through experiential and inquiry-based learning methods. This approach stimulates critical thinking and problem-solving skills across the board.

Multi-Disciplinary Approach:

  • To make learning more engaging and relevant, we employ a multi-disciplinary approach in our curriculum planning. This helps students derive the most from knowledge across different subjects and contexts.

Multiple-Intelligence Approach:

  • We believe in recognizing the unique strengths inside each child. Our robust counselling department thus identifies and applies various learning techniques to ensure that every student flourishes and that no child is academically left behind.

Holistic Development

  • Our commitment to holistic development extends beyond academics. From “No Bag Days” to regular quizzes, we prepare students to thrive in the real world while also fostering a stress-free learning environment for them.

Constant Support:

  • We provide unwavering mental and emotional support to all our students. Our aim has always been to help them nurture resilience and optimism, especially during challenging times.

Smart Boards:

  • Our teachers harness the power of audio-visual technology and smart boards to make lessons exponentially more engaging, effective, memorable, and captivating.

Open-Minded Brainstorming:

  • We encourage generating creative ideas and solutions through intensive and freewheeling group discussions. Every student is allowed to think out loud and suggest as many ideas as possible, no matter how outlandish or strange they may seem.

Hands-On Methodologies:

  • All our activities are meticulously designed to foster alertness, awareness, and active participation in the learning process. Through this, we ensure our students remain fully engaged in their education and academics.

Open-Minded Brainstorming:

  • We allow students to explore realistic life-situations by interacting with other people in a controlled environment. This helps them try different approaches and strategies in a safe environment. Depending on the intention of the activity, participants may be roleplaying a situation or person similar to themselves or be in the opposite end of the conversation.

Higher Secondary- 11TH & 12TH

Our Class 11 and 12 curriculums inculcate modern capabilities, develop vital life skills, and impart financial literacy, digital literacy, health-wellness awareness, citizenship education, and multilingualism.

Our CBSE curriculum for class 12 comprises 7 core learning areas:

    • Languages
    • Humanities
    • Mathematics
    • Sciences
    • Skill Subjects
    • General Studies
    • Health & Physical Education

NCERT Curriculum

  • Our school follows the NCERT curriculum for Senior Secondary students. This indispensable curriculum helps our students develop skill and knowledge throughout their academic journey.
  • Our aim is to enhance the learning experience for them, facilitate their overall academic success, and assist them to prepare effectively for exams.
  • Our curriculum framework is aligned with the CBSE curriculum and NCERT learning outcomes. They further impart pedagogical processes and assessment strategies to encourage curiosity, objectivity, and creativity with a view to nurture a scientific temperament.
  • This methodology has thus become a key resource for our teachers as they execute the finer points of the curriculum.

Collaborative Learning

  • In addition, we also implement collaborative learning. These teaching models emphasize the power of collective intelligence. Students are encouraged to work together and leverage each member’s strengths and knowledge.
  • This framework is rooted in the belief that collaborative processes can lead to a deeper understanding of different subjects and provide a more meaningful learning experience compared to individual efforts.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

  • This teaching technique focuses on developing students’ emotional intelligence in relation to their feelings, relationships, and decision-making responsibilities.
  • It’s not an ordinary teaching style but a holistic one that integrates emotional and social competencies into our core curriculum.

Inquiry-Based Learning

  • This teaching method puts students at the heart of the learning process. Instead of being passive recipients of information, they are encouraged to ask questions, investigate, and explore topics in depth.
  • This method transforms classrooms into hubs of curiosity and active learning, where students drive their own educational journey.

Problem-Based Learning

  • This teaching model centres around presenting students with real-world problems and challenging them to find solutions.
  • Instead of everyday instructions, students are encouraged to use critical thinking, collaboration, and research skills to address complex issues, thus making learning more relevant and applicable.
  • This teaching method also enhances problem-solving skills, makes learning relevant, and fosters a spirit of cooperation.

Personalized Learning

  • This is one of our most distinct teaching methods. It tailors the educational experience to meet the unique needs, interests, and strengths of each student.
  • Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, content, pace, and learning methods are adapted to meet the needs of individual students, so none of them get left behind or are forced to keep up on their own.

Competency-Based Learning

  • This impactful teaching technique ensures that students master specific skills or competencies at their own pace.
  • Instead of time-based progressions, students move forward when they demonstrate mastery over a particular skill or topic whenever they’re ready.

Career Guidance

  • Combining scientific assessments and meticulously designed reports, we help each child discover their true potential, interests, learning styles, pace, and skills to excel not only in their academics but also in the real world .
