ONAM CELEBRATION

Onam is celebrated every year as the harvest festival of Kerala. Onam, thefestival of happiness, peace, prosperity and flowers was celebrated with greatzeal by the students and teachers of RPS. The students and teachers celebratedthis special day in gaiety and warmth.The festival of Onam is dedicated to the King Mahabali who sacrificed himselfalong with his kingdom in order to stand true to his words.

The celebrations started with setting up of an attractive floral decoration –Pookalam, that was reminiscent of the agrarian past of Kerala, a South Indianstate. Impressive designs and artistic creativity were the hallmarks of thePookalam, which turned out to be attractive and mesmerizing and took everyoneinto a world of festivity and fun.
